The historic review “Andar per fiabe”, organized by AMAT.
AMAT is a non-profit association that brings together local and regional authorities of the Marche Region, as well as public and private cultural entities. Its mission is to program drama, dance, music, and circus performances, and to support artistic creativity in the performing arts.
Additionally, AMAT aims to promote initiatives that encourage contemporary approaches in schools and universities, as well as to organize shows, conferences, and editorial projects that help to consolidate and grow the audience. AMAT has been operating since 1976 and is funded by the Italian Ministry of Culture (MIC) and the Marche Region Administration. It collaborates with local administrations and other organizations to schedule, promote, and manage theatrical activities, including drama, dance, and non-formal education, for local communities. AMAT's activities extend regionally, nationally, and internationally, with a focus on networking to implement theatre, dance, and other performing arts activities. In addition, AMAT supports creativity through artist residencies and interdisciplinary projects, such as site-specific performances and community projects. AMAT is a key partner in the Anticorpi XL network, which comprises 30 Italian partners, and promotes the social use of performing arts by organizing activities for schools and organizations at the local level, to accompany the programs of events in the theatres.
In recent years, AMAT has been expanding its method of work at the international level by collaborating with international partners. As a partner, AMAT has implemented a number of projects in the Creative Europe Program, such as S.P.A.R.S.E. (www.sparse.eu [1]), which involves partners from the UK, Romania, Estonia, Lithuania, Norway, and Sweden.
Additionally, AMAT has collaborated on ERASMUS+ projects like CRAFT, led by the University of Aalborg, which involves universities from Spain, Portugal, and Slovenia. These collaborations demonstrate AMAT's commitment to expanding its reach and promoting the performing arts through international partnerships.
