Disseminating Open Atelier: Conference in Bologna

“Around the Lighthouse”, the Test Experience realized through the cooperation of Art Museums Skagen, AMAT and a group of artists, that was presented in Pesaro on 8 February 2023, has now become the object of a research investigation exploring innovative ways of engaging audiences in fruitful interpretations and uses of cultural heritage. The first outcomes of this study have been presented and discussed within an international scientific audience by a group of representatives of the partners that developed the Experience – Daniele Sepe, Anna M. Fisker, Mette B. Jensen, Elena Montanari and Daniela Rimei. This occasion was provided by the participation in the conference “From Linguistic Innovation to Cultural Transformation. Unpacking the Implications of ICOM’s New Museum Definition in Italy and France”, promoted by Università di Bologna on 18 and 19 March 2024. The presentation of the paper “The realm of innovation within cultural heritage. The Open Atelier Project, where innovation originates from within the art world itself” was an important contribution to the dissemination of the first outcome of the Open Atelier project.
