“Around the Lighthouse”: testing Open Atelier Experiences
The first Open Atelier Experience – the performance “Around the Lighthouse” – was successfully presented at Chiesa dell’Annuniziata in Pesaro, on the evening of 8th February 2022. The initiative resulted from the collaboration promoted by AMAT between the Art Museums of Skagen and a group of Italian artists, who developed a co-creative investigation and reinterpretation of a selection of unreleased historical photos documenting the life of the artists’ colony that settled in Skagen at the end of the 19th century.
“Around the Lighthouse” is a poetic journey through videos and voices, aimed at exploring new perspectives on the museum and its heritage. The performance, played by Andrea Argentieri, was directed by Luigi De Angelis and curated by Chiara Lagani, founder of the theatrical company Fanny & Alexander, and Mara Cerri, who namely worked on the dramaturgy and the illustrations; the soundscape was designed by Emanuele Wiltsch Barberio, with the supervision of Vincenzo Scorza.
